The Wu-Tang Clan and RZA: A Trip through Hip Hop’s 36 Chambers chronicles the rise of the Wu-Tang Clan from an underground supergroup to a globally recognized musical conglomerate. Enhanced by the author’s one-on-one interviews with group members, the book covers the entire Wu-Tang Clan catalog of studio albums, as well as albums that were produced or heavily influenced by producer/rapper RZA.
Wu-Tang Clan’s albums are analyzed and discussed in terms of their artistry as well as in terms of their critical, cultural, and commercial impact. By delving into the motivation behind the creation of pivotal songs and albums and mining their dense metaphor and wordplay, the book provides an understanding of what made a team of nine friends and relatives from Staten Island with a love of Kung Fu movies into not just a music group, but a powerful cultural movement.

The Gap Enters The 36 Chambers With Its Latest T-Shirt Offering
The jeans-and-tees emporium The Gap has paired up with musicians before; the likes of Luscious Jackson and Common have warbled holiday-appropriate tunes for them during the store’s late-autumn shopping season ads, Daft Punk has danced for its denim, and even Willie Nelson has endorsed the brand. But now the chain’s starting to return the favor for certain musicians and iconic people of note by placing them on t-shirts—and among those luminaries immortalized in 100% cotton form is none other than Staten Island’s own Wu-Tang Clan. For $29.95, the “canyon shadow”-colored top can be yours! The Gap Has also managed to get graphic tees featuring Cheech and Chong, The Beatles, The Ramones, Colt 45, Guns and Roses, Miller High Life & A Delorean

Gza Presents: WU-TANG CLAN REVEALED [Trailers Part 1 & 2]

Directed By GZA (Wu-Tang Clan)

Wu-Tang Revealed is a documentary style DVD that gives an inside look at one of the most revolutionary rap groups of the 1990’s, Staten Island’s own Wu-Tang Clan. The Wu-Tang Clan turned the standard concept of a hip-hop crew inside out in 1993. Instead of releasing one group album  after another, the Clan’s design was to overtake the industry in as profitable a way as possible. They established themselves as a force with their debut album, Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) and then spun off into as many side projects as possible. The Wu-Tang Clan as a group released Five Albums all of which has gone platinum, and over 15 solo projects with some selling well over Gold & Platinum in a spam of 13 years. The group has gone on to sell out world wide tours, create & sell comic books, Clothing (Wu-Wear), Video Games & Books.

The DVD is a inside look at what fans of hip-hop rarely get to see with their favorite rap groups. It features exclusive footage shot over the recording of “The W”, “The Iron Flag” and “Wu-Tang Forever albums interspersed with tour footage From New York, LA, Chicago, Europe etc.. Footage includes outdoor Rave Concerts & Festivals.

Viewers will be able to watch the clan as they perform in front of die-hard fans in never before seen footage, witness personal conversations about money, management, music & other topics. Join the breakfast table where feelings aren’t spared & supersized egos are crushed. This is an in-depth  Wu-Tang Version of the Real World & Da Band combined; a chance for fans to see what really goes on behind the scenes at a Wu-Tang Clan photo shoot, where members argue & complain about clothing & stylists, yet snatch clothes at the end of the shoot. Watch clan members feud with each other who has the fattest beats; all are quick to say what they do and don’t like about each other’s solo efforts. Listen to Wu-Tang grill Divine (Mitchell Diggs), their manager, about how much money he makes off of them.

Wu-Tang Revealed will also feature newly recorded, unreleased music from the Wu-Tang Clan. Added features include one-one interviews with each clan member. Viewers will be able to hear individual experiences in and of Wu-Tang Clan.
